My son has been seeing Dr. Kelly for about a year, as he was her first patient! He has a very complex profile and has improved greatly. He now has some depth of vision and his reading fluency is much better. Dr. Kelly believed in my son when others didn’t, and for that we are forever grateful. We have seen many vision therapists and Sunshine Vision is tops!

We cannot say enough good things about Dr. Kelly! Mid-pandemic, my daughter (12), who loves to read, said she could not read anymore and was so frustrated. Once safe, we saw our regular optometrist referred us to Dr. Kelly – and we could not be more grateful! Dr. Kelly was extremely thorough, both in her testing and explaining the diagnosis. She worked so well with my daughter and helped her regain her focus (literally!). Now my daughter is reading like a champ again!

My son has been seeing Dr. Kelly and her team for about 4 months now. The care team is the best. They met my son where he was at and developed an individualized plan to develop his visual processing system.

Not once have we had to force him to go, he has been excited to go to vision therapy every week. We went years without a definitive reason to why he was challenged to read and write. Vision Therapy was the missing piece that is helping him take off and live up to his potential.

I can not say enough great things about Sunshine Vision! When I first spoke with Dr. Kelly on the phone she asked about what type of learning difficulties he had. As I was explaining our situation she was able to pin point exactly what was going on with his eyes, his brain and the connection between the two. I was so relieved to know that someone FINALLY understood what was going on and could help us. My son worked with Dr. Kelly and her team (specifically Miss. Miranda) weekly for 7 months. Each week he worked on something new to improve his vision, coordination, and tackle his learning difficulties. He loved going to class and “playing the learning games”. They really made each activity fun. Over the course of his time with SV my son was able to fix his tracking issues with reading. Along with the reduction of his pupils size, which lead to less frustration, feeling less overwhelmed and better sleep. Additionally, better hand eye coordination, more confidence in sports and school, AND most importantly he graduated out of the in school math program for the first time in 3 years. Vision therapy really changed my sons life and we could not be happier that we found Sunshine Vision!

Six weeks after my concussion, I was lost as to how I could regain my normal life. When I first met Dr. Kelly, she immediately understood my situation, from my vision and balance issues that kept me from being functional at work, to my heightened and constant state of anxiety that resulted from my fall. Dr. Kelly crafted an extensive rehabilitation plan for me, starting with a new eyeglass prescription that corrected my blurry vision, weekly eye therapy sessions, and daily eye exercises. Her approach to healing is holistic: in addition to the vision therapy, she offered practical strategies to help reduce my anxiety. Three months after therapy began, I’m finally feeling more like myself, and I now am resuming physical activities that I love, like ballroom dancing. I am so grateful to Dr. Kelly and to the Sunshine Vision staff for helping me on the road to recovery.
